How to motivate writing and reading.

Erik Persoons is a teacher and a Belgian author who, with his latest book: Refugia, built a sequel to his writing experiment. This time he motivated more than a hundred students from several schools to write a part of a book, after which he wrote all the pieces together and created a fascinating youth thriller.

The working method of Erik is remarkable. Not only does he know how to motivate a hundred young people to write, but he also encourages these young people and their entire circle of friends to read. The book can also be discussed during a lesson and the whole concept ensures that it also becomes a commercial success.

The Young Readers Foundation wants to support such writing experiments further and with Erik, we want to work out a formula so that this initiative can also be repeated in other schools.
